Ok..I'm not used to this so I'll just be blabbing off..nothing important here but I just want to write it down. The last three weekends have been pretty fun with lots of solid drawing sessions in Brissie.
3 weeks ago: I was sketching and doing portraits at Connect 4 in Valley Studios and because of my hostel location, I luck on the Fort

2 weeks ago: The Fort is a new art/music/creative space in the Valley and their opening night had one of fav bands playing I was fortunate to be there and sketch away the night. This weekend was also Supanova weekend so I went to that. I don't know how people can go the whole 2 days but 1 is enough for me..at least I got to play with the intuos4 and even a cintiq at the Wacom booth. Must get me shit sorted so I can get myself a stall for next year...and i wish my new tablet would get here sooner.

Last week: Easter long weekend and since I wanted to get away from the coast it's off to Brissie again. Did more band sketches at Valley Studios again although I must've looked like a total weirdo while I was waiting for things to start..meh. The weekend pretty much consisted of lots to walking around, rain and drawing on the sketchbook. Found a nice and affordable art shop in the West End as well as the cheapest/best kebab and the nicest burger joint. Last night saw me hitting the Bowery for a cocktail since I realised I never tried one and more drawings and they even had live music and I recognised the drummer as he plays in another band I've seen/sketched. Oh..and all this and I was nursing bed bug bites the whole weekend...After all the hostels I've stayed, they finally got me...ugh!


Hmm..I must do more. As hard as I try, it's never enough..lol. I need to focus and coalesce my concepts so I can turn them into little comic strips with the goal of doing a little self-publish anthology/sketchbook. I'm tired and I'm hungry and I still itch...
